Press Release from USATF

BOSTON -- UCS has joined the USATF family of partners as the official Equipment Supplier, USATF announced Thursday. The multi-year partnership will provide equipment to a wide range of USATF championships, increase USATF brand exposure and integrate promotional efforts between the two companies.

The first event supported by UCS in 2015 will be the USATF Indoor Championships in Boston and will include USATF branded landing pads for the high jump and pole vault, including the USATF and event hashtag, #USATFind. The hashtag will be visible in venue and on national telecasts on NBCSN and USATF’s online webcast at USATF.tv.

The partnership with UCS, which extends through 2020, will include promotion of the USATF brand through UCS’s own marketing efforts, as well as equipment distribution at USATF championships ranging from youth through masters. UCS will provide best-in-class service and championship caliber equipment for events including the USATF Hershey Youth Outdoor Championships, Junior Olympic Outdoor Championships and Masters Outdoor Championships. From USATF-branded landing pads to crossbars, hurdles and toe-boards, UCS will provide an unprecedented level of assistance for athletes of all ages, along with USATF’s marquee Indoor and Outdoor Championships.

“UCS’s commitment to the sport from youth through masters enables USATF to expand our assistance to a broader group of championships, constituent groups and local organizers,” said USATF CEO Max Siegel. “We are proud to have them in the USATF family as we continue to remake the scope of our partnerships and the level of support we provide to everyone in the sport.”

UCS is a leading international brand in track & field, providing equipment for four Olympic Games, 13 years of USATF Championships, numerous worldwide and regional championships and more than 75 NCAA Track & Field Championships. Since its inception in 1987, UCS/Spirit vaulting poles have been used to set over 75 World Records including the new men’s world record and every women’s world record ever recorded. As part of its grassroots efforts in pole vault development, UCS/Spirit hosts the National Pole Vault Summit, which has been supported by Nike since its inception 25 years ago.

“As a family-owned business in its third generation, UCS Inc. is honored to once again partner with USATF. We look forward to providing the finest ‘Made in the USA’ equipment in support of the World’s #1 Track and Field Team. We are excited to build on our legacy and commitment to track and field and its prosperity," UCS said in a joint statement by the family.
