Donetsk, Ukraine: 2012 Olympic Champion, Renaud Lavillenie of France has proven himself yet again breaking the Pole Vault World Record. With a Jump of 6.16m (20'2-1/2") during the Pole Vault Stars Competition in Donetsk, Ukraine, Lavillenie has surpassed the event's host and previous World Record Holder IAAF Vice President Sergey Bubka. The previous pole vault world record had stood for nearly twenty one years; set by Sergey Bubka on February 21, 1993 at 6.15m (20' 2 1/4") in his home town, Donetsk, Ukraine. Bearing witness to the record breaking jump, the former world record holder graciously praised Lavillenie's accomplishment, congratulating him, and honorably passing the baton to this remarkable young star.

It is an honor that these great athletes choose to use UCS/Spirit vaulting poles. From the entire UCS family - congratulations!
