Tips for selecting your UCS/Spirit Vaulting Pole...

• Lower your grip if you have poor penetration landing close to the box and greater than 90 degree pole bend.
• Move to a stiffer pole model if you have excess penetration landing deep in the pit with a greater than 90 degree pole bend.
• Move to a softer pole model not to be rated less than your weight if you have poor penetration landing close to the box and less than a 90 degree pole bend.
• Raise your grip not to exceed recommended limits, if you have excess penetration landing deep in the pit with a less than 90 degree pole bend.
• The athlete should never vault on a pole rated below their body weight.
• The distance of the handgrip on the pole should be slightly wider than shoulder width.
